AHCCCS is hosting forums to obtain public input on the design and implementation of its Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) System. Congress passed an Act in December 2016 that requires AHCCCS to implement EVV for Personal Care services by 1/1/19. EVV is an electronic system that verifies that provider visits occur for members and documents the date and time that services begin and end. Members and/or their families/representatives will be able to verify electronically that providers were present for scheduled visits. Individuals who receive attendant care, homemaker, personal care, respite and habilitation services as well as home health services will be impacted by EVV.
Please note these forums are for members, families and representatives from advocacy organizations. We appreciate service providers sharing information about the public forums and public comment period with individuals they serve. AHCCCS has information on its website (www.azahcccs.gov/EVV) regarding opportunities for providers of services to provide public input on EVV.
